At Plei, having a payment method on file, whether a card or a mobile wallet like Apple or Google Pay, is required to register for a game. This helps us ensure everyone who joins a game is committed to playing.
When you join a game, we place a temporary hold on your card or wallet to verify you have enough funds to pay for the game. Don’t worry – you’re not charged right away. This hold is simply a check and will only be processed if the game is confirmed. If the game is canceled, the hold will release automatically, and you won't be charged. 🙌
If you add or remove guests after you first join the game, we will have to place a new hold on your card. Don't worry about seeing multiple pending transactions in your bank account, we'll only process the final one if the game is confirmed 😉
If you need to drop out of a game:
Before the game is confirmed – The hold on your card will automatically release with no charge.
After the game is confirmed but more than 5 hours before game time – You’ll receive a game credit or refund. Your choice!
Less than 5 hours before game time, but more than 3 hours before game time – You’ll receive a game credit to use toward another game if we find a replacement for you.
Less than 3 hours before game time – The payment will be processed, and no game credit will be issued.
