Want to stay connected with players you’ve enjoyed playing with?

On Plei, it’s easy to add friends—whether you’ve met them at a game, see them in your contacts, or find them in your suggested friends list.

Ways to Add Friends

1. From the Game Roster

Played with someone you want to connect with?

  • Scroll down to the Game Roster on the Game Details page

  • Tap the three dots next to their name

  • Select "Add Friend" to send a request

2. From the Friends Tab

Head to the Friends tab in the app to find:

  • Suggested Friends: Based on recent games you’ve played

  • My Contacts: Shows which of your contacts already use the app

  • Friend Requests: Tap the notification icon (top right) on the Discover and Bookings pages to view and respond to friend requests—accept or decline with a single tap

Tap "Add Friend" next to any player to connect.

Tip: After a great match, players often add each other to stay connected and easily invite one another to future games.

Sharing Contacts with Plei

To see which of your contacts are already on the app, you’ll need to enable contact sharing.

📌 We do not use or store your contacts in any way.

If you denied contact access initially

When you first open the Contacts page in the app, Plei will request permission to access your contacts. If you denied this request, follow the steps below to enable it.

iOS:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone

  2. Scroll down and tap Apps

  3. Find and tap Plei

  4. Tap Contacts and choose an access level

    • If you choose Limited Access, select individual contacts, then tap Done

Android:

  1. Open your phone’s Settings

  2. Go to Apps or Applications

  3. Find and tap the Plei app

  4. Tap Permissions > Contacts

  5. If denied, change to Allow

Once access is granted, Plei can show you which of your contacts are already on the app—so you can easily add or invite them.
